Introduction to Conservation Finance
A self-paced course produced with the Conservation Strategy Fund’s Numbers For Nature Training (Virtual)
Learn the basics of Conservation Finance from the experts themselves. This course covers the fundamentals of Conservation Finance solutions, public and private sector partnerships, scalable strategies and emerging tools and opportunities to help finance nature now and far into the future.
Economics & Finance for Environmental Leadership
This 2-week in-person course will be run by CSF’s Numbers for Nature Training Institute in partnership with Stanford’s Natural Capital Project and the Conservation Finance Alliance.
This introductory course in conservation economics provides professionals with essential economic concepts and practical tools to address today’s environmental challenges. Participants will learn how to integrate nature into financial decision-making and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders across sectors and regions. Global Fund for Coral Reefs
Seven new self-paced courses under REEF+ Community of Practice
Conservation Finance Alliance and CSF’s Numbers for Nature Training Institute collaborated with the Global Fund for Coral Reefs (GFCR) to enhance its capacity-development efforts under the REEF+ Community of Practice to develop seven self-paced short courses. These courses are designed to inform this Community of Practice about the Fund’s investment principles, policy architecture, and targeted sectors that guide its investment activities. There are 1) GFCR Guiding Investment Principles, 2) Ecotourism Investment 3) Risk Management System, 4) Area-Based Conservation Investment, 5) Gender Policy, 6) Blue Carbon Finance, and 7) Social and Environmental Safeguards Policy.
BRIDGE Working Groups Program
An in-house program for Conservation Finance Capacity Building with Conservation Trust Funds (CTFs)
Conservation Finance Alliance (CFA), Zamia Media, and Conservation Strategy Fund (CSF) joined forces as a consortium to lead a robust, and engaging Working Groups Program for CTFs under the RedLAC and CAFÉ regional networks. Eight thematic working groups and one additional working group for Executive Directors focused on challenges and opportunities for effectively managing and growing conservation trust funds.
Yale Environmental Leadership Training Initiative (ELTI)
As part of its commitment to strengthening conservation capacity, the Conservation Finance Alliance (CFA) collaborates with The Forest School at the Yale School of the Environment to support the development of courses for the Environmental Leadership & Training Initiative (ELTI). Through this partnership, CFA contributes its expertise in conservation finance to training programs that empower practitioners working to conserve and restore tropical forests and biodiversity-rich landscapes.
