Funbio seeks a specialist consultant to develop a financial strategy for RedLAC and CAFÉ long-term sustainability: Project K – Knowledge for Action

Funbio is seeking a specialist consultant to aid in developing a financial strategy for RedLAC and CAFÉ long-term sustainability in "Project K – Knowledge for Action". 

This consultancy aims at developing a common financial strategy for both the RedLAC and CAFÉ networks as a way to ensure their long-term sustainability by strengthening the network members’ financing skills. This consultancy shall be carried out by one consultant with a balanced knowledge and experience regarding the development of financing and marketing strategies for EFs (or environmental organizations, biodiversity conservation initiatives), so that all requirements mentioned in this Term of Reference can be fulfilled. WWF Switzerland Seeks Head of Impact Venture Initiative

At WWF Switzerland, 220 employees and more than 3,000 volunteers work together to protect nature and the environment. They pursue the WWF’s goals of maintaining biodiversity, using our resources sustainably and promoting environmentally friendly lifestyles. A few years ago, we began a pilot initiative within the international WWF network to promote ventures in the environmental sector. Our aims included making conservation more effective and promoting the setup of self-financed initiatives that create added value for the local population in biodiversity hotspots. The next step is now to scale up this initiative and establish relevant processes. To meet this challenge, they are looking for a new Head of Impact Venture Initiative.

The Malawi Environmental Endowment Trust is seeking the services of a Strategic Planning Consultant(s) due to the need that has arisen to demonstrate MEET‟s organizational, financial and operational sustainability in the medium to long term. It is envisaged that the development of the 2018 – 2022 Strategic Plan will enable MEET to identify institutional priorities to ensure they are aligned to MEET‟s mission and vision for institutional growth and aligned to national environmental policies and strategies for national development..

The main objective of this consultancy is therefore to develop MEET‟s five-year (2018 – 2022) Strategic Plan and Resource Mobilization Strategy in order to identify priority actions, order, schedule and resources to achieve the Trust‟s overarching vision.

Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia has a career opening for an Investment Specialist in Manila, Philippines. The chosen candidate will be responsible for building and managing an Ocean Investment Facility for the region, including pre-investment activities and coordination between multiple partners and funds devoted to channeling private and donor capital into bankable projects supporting the sustainable development of coasts and oceans.

WCS Seeks Associate-Level Climate Scientist

The Wildlife Conservation Society is currently seeking an associate-level climate scientist for a full-time position in Bozeman, Montana through the America's Program. The WCS America’s Program, spanning North and South America, works to conserve a strategic set of wildlife and wild places, and to address the crosscutting conservation challenges of ecological connectivity, natural resource extraction, and climate change. The Climate Change Assistant Conservationist hired to work in this program will provide scientific, conservation, and technical support for climate change adaptation projects at several landscapes across North and South America, aimed at applying best-available climate change science to identify or modify conservation and management practices.

BIOFIN Seeking Applicants for Consulting Contract

BIOFIN is looking for applicants for a consulting contract dealing with the preparation of a Biodiversity Finance Plan (BFP) in Georgia. The expert chosen will be responsible for preparation of BFP following the guidance provided by the current version of the BIOFIN Workbook and in close collaboration with the BIOFIN National Team. The work will take place over 6 months and be mostly home-based with two five day business trips to Georgia.
